Patch notes
Patch notes: the faculty has been asked to be nicer
From Light, principal
Hello again! I have received feedback. Some of you, and I say this with enormous affection, reported that your teachers were being too challenging.
Too challenging. At an academy.
Nevertheless! I listen. It is one of my many qualities. So I asked Inferno, Windborne and Tide to tone it down, and they did. (Inferno said a word I will not repeat. Tide said nothing for a very long time, which is worse.) Tectonic was already where I wanted everyone. I asked him if he minded. He nodded. I think it was a nod.
The exams
- Every teacher is now about as fair as every other. Whichever element you declare, your exam is the same size of mountain. Each of them still plays exactly like themselves: Inferno fast and a little reckless, Windborne unpredictable, Tide unhurried and precise, Tectonic slow and immovable.
- I eased up a touch too. A touch. I am still the final exam, and I am still a step harder than the rest. That is what final means.
- Verified by 1,000 students, who sat the new exams so you don’t have to wonder. Here is how often a steady student passes now:

And if you still lose, remember: every loss makes that teacher go a little easier on you next time. I would never let anyone fall forever. Just for a while. It builds character.
