Patch notes
Patch notes: the game is open (a little)
From Windborne, teacher of air
Oh! Oh, you’re here. Good. Hello! Have you ever stacked something just to see how high it goes before it doesn’t? That’s not a lesson. It’s a question. (It might be a lesson.)
The game is open. Not all of it. A little. The windows, not the doors. Come and play, right in your browser, on your phone or your computer. No account. No sign-up. Just tiles.
What’s in it
- Four elements: earth, fire, water and air. Line up three or more to clear them.
- Drag a tile left or right to swap it. You can swap into gaps, and even catch a tile while it’s falling. Falling is very educational.
- Chains: clear something, and if the tiles that drop make a new line, that’s a chain. Chains hold the stack still for a moment, longer when you’re close to the top. Lovely, isn’t it? The closer to the edge, the more the air helps.
- The stack rises and keeps getting faster. Hold Raise if you’re feeling brave. If a tile touches the top and stays there for a whole second, that round is over. Everyone falls eventually!
- Endless (Easy, Normal or Hard) and Time Attack (two minutes or three). Your best scores are remembered.
- Music that notices when you’re in trouble and plays faster. You can turn it off. Why would you?
- Watch a demo if you’d like to see how it’s done. I won’t say who’s playing.
- Keyboard works too: arrows move, Z or Space swaps, hold X to raise, P pauses.
What’s next
Something about answering a few questions, and choosing, and then… an exam? With your teacher. I’m told it’s not a trick. (It’s a little bit a trick.)
Go on. Up you go.
