Patch notes
Patch notes: player names, and a few duels
From Light, principal
Good news, and a small amount of paperwork! (The paperwork is also good news. I made sure.)
Player names
- When you sign up with email, you’ll now choose a player name: what other students see in the game. Never your real name. Three to sixteen characters, and it has to be yours alone.
- Already have an account? You’ll be asked for one the first time you open Multiplayer.
- A few names are taken by the faculty and the story. You’ll be told. Kindly.
Multiplayer (in testing)
- There’s a Multiplayer door on the game’s front page now. Behind it: create a lobby and send a friend the link, or play a random student.
- Next to every opponent’s name: a bright green dot means a live student; a dark gray dot means a computer (practice) student, there when nobody else is free. We’ll always tell you which.
- It’s open to a small group of testers first. If it isn’t open to you yet, the door says so, politely, and it won’t be long.
Officially: more soon. Unofficially: also more soon, but with feeling.
