Patch notes: a gentler current in the exams

From Tide, teacher of water

Water does not rush you. It only seemed to, last time. That was our error, and it has been corrected.

Exams

  • A slower start. The stack begins at a calmer pace and quickens as the duel goes on. Expect three or four minutes, not a sprint.
  • Smaller pushes. A chain or combo still pushes your opponent’s stack up, theirs onto yours and yours onto theirs. Each push is now about half as large.
  • You can see it coming, and who sent it. A push flies across as a glowing orb in the sender’s color. When it lands, their portrait and name appear at the bottom of the board, and the rows rise gently under a glow of that color. Yours fly the other way, onto the teacher’s board.
  • Light’s exam is a little easier.

Sit with the board a moment before you move. Then move.
