Coming next: Tetramental in your browser
From Inferno, teacher of fire
Well, well. Pull up a bench, Kindling.
The full Tetramental game is still in the forge, and it’ll come out when it’s good and ready, not a minute before. Light tells me I’m not to say when. So I won’t. But something smaller is nearly warm enough to touch: a free puzzle game you can play right here, in your browser, on your phone or your computer.
What you’ll be doing
- Four elements: earth, fire, water and air. You know which one I’d pick.
- A stack that rises from below. Swap tiles side by side, line up three or more, and set off chains. Do it well and the stack holds its breath for you. Let it reach the top, and that’s your lesson for the day.
- Declare your element. Answer a few questions and the academy will make a suggestion. You can take it, or you can surprise me. I do so love a surprise.
- Sit your exam, against the teacher of the element you chose. If that’s me, I’ll be waiting. Don’t keep me long.
- Free to play, for everyone. No account, no excuses.
It’s a taste of the real thing: the same rules at heart, made light enough to carry in your pocket.
Later
Online play against your friends will follow, for the ones who’d like to put a little something toward the game. I admire a student who backs their own talent.
We’ll post here as it heats up. Until then, the novel and its soundtrack are free with early access.
Impress me. I dare you.
